Chief Superintendent Dave Thorne has been announced as the new Plymouth police commander, following a promotion process that took place last week.
He takes up his new position with immediate effect, following a brief period in the role in a temporary capacity. Dave Thorne had been a superintendent in the city for the last 18 months.
