Cash stolen in Plymstock charity shop burglary
Police are appealing for witnesses after a callous burglary at the British Red Cross shop on Plymstock Broadway.
An offender entered the shop around 1.20am on Sunday 9 November and stole a quantity of cash from the safe.
Detectives are seeking information about a man who was seen in the Horncross Road area and the rear service lane of the Broadway between 1am and 2am on the night of the offence.
The man was wearing a dark top and trousers, light-coloured trainers and a hat, and police would like to speak to anyone who saw him.
They are particularly keen to trace two potential witnesses - a man and a woman who were standing on the corner of the service lane and Horncross Road and may have passed this man.
Detective Constable James Martin said: “The man and woman could hold vital information to help us to identify this suspect and we would urge them to come forward.
“This is a despicable crime where an offender has targeted a charity shop and stolen money given by the public in support of a good cause. We would ask anyone with information, however small, to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55511, quoting crime reference CR/121233/14.
