Two hurt in Turnchapel collision
Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Plymouth that left two people in hospital.
Police were called at around 8.40pm on Thursday 24th March following reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision had occurred on Hooe Road, Turnchapel, Plymouth.
The two vehicles involved were a black Jeep Cherokee and a blue Renault Clio; extensive damage was sustained to both vehicles.
A 16-year old female passenger in the Clio was taken to Derriford Hospital with a suspected broken back. The driver of the Clio, and 18-year-old man was also taken to hospital after suffering a minor hand injury in the collision.
The driver of the Jeep was uninjured and left the scene; he was later located and arrested.
A 44-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and has since been bailed until the 4th May, pending further enquiries.
