Skittles and pasty night a big success
Judging by the noise and laughter, a great evening was had by all who attended the ‘Charity Skittles & Pasty Night’ at the BT Social Club in Plymouth on 29th July.
The event was arranged to raise funds in aid of the Lord Mayor’s charities for her year in office, those being The South West Mesothelioma Support Group which raises awareness about the health risks associated with asbestos and supports those diagnosed with the terminal asbestos related cancer and Frontline Veterans Support, a community group set up by veterans in order to provide other veterans with the tools to help them learn to live and cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (combat or other).
A grand total of £380 was raised for the two local causes.
Many thanks to the Lord Mayor Councillor Pauline Murphy, Councillor Brian Vincent and everyone else who helped organise the event. Also all those who supported the charities by attending.
