Police appeal following indecent exposures
Police in Plymouth are appealing for information following a series of suspected linked indecent exposures.
The incidents in the main have occurred in the Manadon area of the City.
The first incident occurred in October last year on Tuesday 29 October at around 1.20pm when a man exposed himself to a woman whilst walking across the bridge at the Manadon roundabout.
The suspect is described as being, aged in his late twenties or early thirties, approximately 6’ in height and wearing a dark stone coloured jumper and jeans.
A number of incidents have occurred at regular intervals since and officers are investigating the series under operation Silica.
There have been two recent incidents the first of which occurred around 5pm on Friday 7 March.
The victim, a woman aged in her 30’s was walking on the footpath underneath Manadon roundabout when a man exposed himself before running off.
He is described as being, approximately 30 years of age, 5’9” in height and carrying a rucksack on his back.
The second incident occurred around 6.30pm on Wednesday 12 March when a 62 year old woman was walking in the wooded area between Frobisher Approach and St Peters Road, Manadon with her dog.
The woman was followed by a man and although he didn’t expose himself, the incident caused her distress.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his early thirties, approximately 5’7” in height, stocky build, with short mousey brown hair, and wearing dark grey or navy hoody top, dark grey jogging bottoms with a thick red band running down the sides and trainers.
Police are requesting the public to report any similar incidents and are appealing for witnesses to the two most recent incidents.
