A total of 15 new jobs have been created at Plymouth's first Drive Thru Starbucks® store.

Opening tomorrow, Wednesday 19 January, the store is located at Coypool Retail Park in Plympton and operated by Starbucks® licensee, Cobra Coffee.

To celebrate the opening, the store will be offering 50 lucky customers complimentary reusable cups every day for the first week.

Store Manager Emma Swain, who started her career at Starbucks as a Barista in 2014, said: "After eight years with Starbucks®, I am looking forward to opening Plymouth's first Starbucks® Drive Thru.

"The team will continue to closely follow the latest guidance from both the Government and health authorities to keep everyone safe. We are all looking forward to welcoming lots of new faces at the new store."

Customers are invited to enjoy their favourite Starbucks® beverage or try Starbucks® Winter menu, including one of three vibrant flavours from the new Oat Latte Platform: Strawberry & Vanilla, Dark Cocoa & Orange or Honey & Hazelnut. Starbucks® UK proudly serves a broad range of dairy alternative options, including oat, soya, almond, coconut, and the exclusive Starbucks™ Original Nut Blend, which are now available for free.

The new store will be open from 6:30am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday, from 7:00am to 7:00pm Saturday, and from 7:30am to 6:00pm Sunday.

The Drive Thru store comes complete with inside seating. Or, for those who prefer to stay at home, delivery will be fully available within a month of opening to all customers via Uber Eats.

Starbucks® is committed to 100% ethically sourced coffee in partnership with Conservation International. The cornerstone of its ethical sourcing approach to buying coffee is Coffee and Farmer Equity (C.A.F.E.) Practices.

Starbucks® offers a 25p discount to all customers who bring a reusable cup when purchasing a drink.

Cobra Coffee, which already runs the nearby store in Drakes Circus, Plymouth, is part of an independent co-operative based in the south of England.
