New city centre neighbourhood inspector
Inspector Sally Hutchings has recently been appointed as the new Neighbourhood Inspector for Plymouth City Centre and Stonehouse.
Insp. Hutchings is an experienced local policing Inspector, having spent almost 8 years in a similar role for Devonport and West, before becoming the Geographic Support Inspector for Plymouth, working with the City’s most senior officers.
Joining an already fantastic team, Sally will be working within one of the busiest and most diverse communities that the city has to offer, tackling the issues that matter most to local people.
Some of the new Inspector’s priorities include tackling the issues around homeless communities within Stonehouse, as well as working with other multiagency functions to protect the most vulnerable individuals within the community.
With the success of the outstanding Pride March this month, led by the Gay Police Association, and the recent reduction of shoplifting within the city centre, Inspector Hutchings is positive about her role within the city and says:
‘My passion lies within local policing, and Plymouth City Centre and Stonehouse are some of the most exciting areas to work in within the city.’
‘I also look forward to supporting the existing positive relationships with other partnership organisations, to develop meaningful consultations with local residents, to ensure that all communities feel safe and supported within their neighbourhoods, which ultimately is my main goal.’
