Gill Meller x Sandridge Barton
Award-winning Devon Winery Sandridge Barton will be hosting a one-off dinner in collaboration with cook, writer and chef Gill Meller on Friday 7th March.
The evening will begin with a guided wine tour of the winery, where attendees will sample a delightful selection from Sandridge Barton’s extensive range of wines, which will be followed by a sit-down feast curated by Gill Meller and inspired by his latest book Outside - his book explores the connection between the land, the seasons and outdoor cooking. Gill has created a seasonal menu that showcases the best of Devon's produce and pairs beautifully with Sandridge Barton wines. To bring his menu to life, Gill will be collaborating closely with local suppliers and sourced ingredients from some of the region's finest dairy and sustainable farm produce.
Highlights from the menu include Smashed White Beans, Chorizo, Flatbreads & EVOO; Mussels, Blackened Leeks Aioli; Sandridge Barton Beef,Truffled Cauliflower, Roast Shallots, Crispy Kale, Toasted Buckwheat; and Roast Lyme Bay Brill, Anchovies, Rosemary, Sauteéd Potatoes & Purple Sprouting Broccoli. To finish the meal a Spiced Orange, Ginger and Polenta Cake is served with Roast Rhubarb and Honey Ice Cream, a dessert with an exceptional depth of sweetness and indulgence.
