Take part in a guided strandline stroll looking for mermaids’ purses – the eggcases of sharks, skates and rays, we’ll also do some beachcombing for cuttlefish bones, whelk eggs and other interesting finds.

Hands-on seasonal fun for Easter at Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery

Easter is on its way and as usual there are a number of hands-on, creative events for children (and their grown-ups) to get stuck into at Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery.

Activities begin with some ‘Eggstra Special’ art and craft sessions on Saturday 30 March, where people will get the chance to make an Easter chick in a basket as well as some other seasonal keepsakes. The 60-minute sessions run from 11am to midday and 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Admission is free but advance booking is essential on 01752 304774.
