Time is running out to see an exhibition of work by one of the UK’s most significant ceramic artists, currently on display at the City Museum and Art Gallery.
‘Gordon Baldwin: Objects for a Landscape’ is on a national tour from York Museums Trust and includes 100 ceramic works alongside related photographs, drawings and collage.
This major touring exhibition from York Museums Trust celebrates the achievements of Gordon Baldwin OBE, one of the most important ceramic artists of our time.
The exhibition will include around 100 works shown alongside related drawings, collages and photographs. It will explore Baldwin's influences, from music and landscape, to 20th century art.
There will be some early works but the emphasis will be on work from the 1980s onwards when Baldwin found his artistic voice. The show will also include a small group of new works made by Baldwin as he approaches his 80th...
