We are delighted to welcome Devon crime writer Stephanie Austin to The Bookery bookshop in Crediton. Stephanie will be talking to Devon historical crime author Michael Jecks about her book DEATH ON DARTMOOR EDGE, the eighth in the Devon Mystery series set in the Dartmoor town of Ashburton and featuring amateur sleuth and reluctant antique shop owner Juno Browne. This hit rural cosy crime series is perfect for winter reading.
Tickets £4 redeemable against a book purchase on the evening.
We are delighted to be once again hosting one of the UK’s best-loved authors, master storyteller Sir Michael Morpurgo at Crediton’s Congregational Church this December.
The Bookery patron Michael Morpurgo has written over 130 books, including The Butterfly Lion , Kensuke’s Kingdom , Private Peaceful and War Horse , which was adapted for a hugely successful stage production by the National Theatre and then, in 2011, for a film directed by Steven Spielberg.
This Christmas he has five new books published: Carnival Of The Animals...
To celebrate the paperback launch of A Clash of Lions, the second historical espionage thriller in their gripping Hundred Years’ War series, you are cordially invited to an evening talk with A.J. Mackenzie (the pseudonym of Marilyn Livingstone and Morgen Witzel, an Anglo-Canadian husband-and-wife team of master historians and writers).
A Clash of Lions is as rich in detail and research as it is in intrigue, suspense and action. Copies will be exclusively available at the event, a full 2 weeks ahead of publication date.
