17-year-old arrested after serious assault in Plympton
A 17-year-old boy was arrested this morning (Monday 9 December) on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
He is currently in police custody at Charles Cross police station.
The arrest is in connection with a serious assault that is alleged to have taken place at around 9.15pm outside the Ridgeway Service Station on the Ridgeway in Plympton on 4 December 2013.
The local victim entered the service station to buy a sandwich and as he left was assaulted by a group of three men in what was an unprovoked attack.
He was knocked unconscious, sustaining bruising to the brain, a swollen upper lip and loose upper teeth.
Police are continuing with their enquiries.
