Eagle-eyed winners of Christmas Nutcracker Trail announced
Nearly 1,000 people took part in the popular Nutcracker Trail around Plymouth over Christmas to help find Santa’s missing helpers.
Families were encouraged to pick up a Nutcracker booklet and search for 20, 8ft high toy soldiers lost in locations throughout the city centre.
And today the winners have been announced and will be presented with an iPod Mini for all their hard detective work.
It was the second year of the interactive treasure hunt which is getting more and more popular and, for the first time, included a similar Snowflake Trail.
The Nutcracker Soldiers each had a different style moustache and the correct locations of all 20 had to be marked on a competition entry form to be in with a chance of winning.
City Centre Manager Jon Walton said: “The Nutcracker trail we ran last year was hugely popular. They are designed to be very visual, create a sense of fun and encourage people to walk around the whole of the city centre; perhaps visiting shops they didn’t even know existed”
“It’s so good to hear that so many people enjoyed themselves hunting for our Nutcracker Soldiers, we have received many positive comments on our social media platforms and in writing! They will return in 2017 with a new twist!”
The winners are: Luke Richards; Anais Ferrian De Pol; Hadia; Finley Burton; Ada Elyse Fiteri; Julian Francese; Holly; Rosie Smale; Ellie Franklin; Madeline Grieveson-Moore; Helen Poole and Hannah-Mai Gilbert.
