Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs bring Christmas cheer to Plymouth
The stars of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs brought some early Christmas cheer to Plymouth last week as they officially launched this year’s spectacular Theatre Royal Plymouth pantomime.
Duncan James, perfectly cast in the role of The Prince and Ben Nickless, as Muddles, were joined at the Duke of Cornwall Hotel by Charlotte Haines who will play the title role of Snow White.
Duncan James can currently be seen playing the role of Ryan in the popular Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks. He has also recently starred as Tick in the UK tour of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Duncan rose to fame in boyband Blue in 2001 who racked up forty number one singles worldwide, three number one albums and sales of over 16 million records.
Duncan’s panto appearance in Plymouth is his third for Qdos Entertainment after making his debut at Birmingham Hippodrome in 2014/15 and playing the title role of Aladdin at Mayflower Theatre Southampton last year.
Ben Nickless career took off in 2006 when he appeared on the BBC television series Let Me Entertain You alongside Brian Conley and Christine Bleakly. Since then, Ben has become popular on the comedy circuit and has played Muddles, this comic role in pantomime, numerous times alongside many household names such as David Hasslehoff, Simon Webbe and Darren Day to name a few.
Charlotte Haines trained at the Guilford School of Acting and since then has appeared in various productions such as My Cousin Rachel, Stone Cold Murder and Sleeping Beauty. This will be Charlotte’s second time playing Snow White for Qdos Entertainment.
Also starring, as The Wicked Queen, will be one of the nation’s best-loved actresses Lesley Joseph, who is set to appear this weekend on BBC TV’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is produced by Qdos Entertainment, the World’s biggest pantomime producer, and carries the Theatre Royal Plymouth pantomime hallmark of outstanding entertainment for all ages. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be spectacularly brought to life with an abundance of comedy, sensational song and dance numbers, fabulous costumes and special effects.
