Outpatient Management Centre raises funds for Gold Dust
A team from Derriford Hospital are doing all they can to raise funds for the Gold Dust Appeal.
Several members of the Outpatient Management Centre have signed up to take part in the Gold Dust Superheroes Abseil on Sunday 25th September, down Plymouth's iconic Holiday Inn.
To raise as much as possible, the team have organised several fundraising events. These include a fundraising evening, taking place tomorrow (Friday 5th August) from 7.30pm at the Brookside Social Club, a ‘guess how many sweets are in the jar’ game, an impressive raffle, a stepathon, with the aim of walking two million steps throughout the month of August, a tuck shop and much more.
Teresa Macdonald, Assistant Team Leader in the Outpatient Management Centre, said: “As a newly set up team, the Outpatient Management Centre are involved in the booking of outpatient appointments and wanted to get involved and support the fundraising to raise awareness of the appeal.
“We saw this as a great opportunity to get involved, support something close to our hearts and have some fun along the way. We are all proud of our involvement in this great appeal and are well on our way to exceeding our target amount!”
Emma Cronin, Gold Dust Fundraising Manager, said: “It’s wonderful to see a group of work colleagues doing something so positive and having fun at the same time. I would like to thank staff throughout the Trust, as well as the local community, for the continued support and would welcome others to join in and get involved in supporting the appeal and raising much needed funds for the children’s areas.”
