Cash boost for homeless charity
Path has received £5,000 to fund tenancy starter packs for homeless people in Devon.
The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation which offers grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.
The grant will enable Path to provide basic & essential items for our clients moving into a new home with nothing.
Mike Taylor, Director, at Path said: “We work hard to help people find accommodation, often people with few resources of their own. This grant means that we can help those with little or nothing to make their new place to live their home, somewhere where they can – we hope – settle and become part of the community.”
Elaine Bleazard Branch Director at Santander’s Plymouth branch said: “The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting Path and hope the donation makes a real difference to local people.”
