Man charged with Arson at Cornish Pirates Ground
A man has been charged with arson in relation to a fire at the Pirates Rugby Club in Penzance on Friday evening (3 January).
The fire started at around 8pm at the Mennaye Fiel and spread through a large marquee used for bars and hospitality.
The fire was contained to the marquee, wich was competely gutted and also spread to a HGV lorry. Noone was injured and the main stand was not damaged.
The 21-year-old is due to appear at Truro Magistrates Court on Monday 6 January.
Police are asking that anyone with any information connected with the incident contact 101 or crimestoppers quoting reference AP/14/22.
