Match Day Preview: Jersey v Plymouth Albion
Jersey v Plymouth Albion
RFU Greene King IPA Championship, Saturday 25 October 2013, St Peter, Jersey (kick-off 2.30pm)
After a successful start to their British and Irish Cup campaign, Plymouth Albion return to league action on Saturday, taking the short flight to Jersey.
Back to back cup wins against Nottingham and Stirling should have put Albion in a good frame of mind for their second encounter with Jersey this season. Albion won the opening day double header match at Exeter's Sandy Park, 41-27.
Head Coach James Shanahan has made seven changes to his starting line-up: there are recalls for full back Chris Elder, centre Ben Woods and this season's top points scorer, fly half Dan Mugford.
Tom Bowen returns on the right wing following his two-week suspension for an illegal tackle in the last league game which was against London Scottish.
Hooker, Max Crumpton will be making his league debut for Albion, while in the back row, there are returns for Canadian international Sean-Michael Stephen, dual registered flanker Rob Langley and No 8 Rhys Oakley, who will skipper the side.
Albion and Jersey sit seventh and eighth respectively in the league table, so there are important points at stake.
