Your views needed on school admission arrangements in Plymouth
It’s time for parents to have their say about the school admissions process in Plymouth.
Starting school, whether primary or secondary, is an important step, and the Council wants to make applying for places as fair and straightforward as possible.
Parents are therefore being asked for their views on the proposed school admission arrangements for the start of the 2019 academic year. Comments are needed on:
- admission numbers for all schools
- key dates in the admissions process
- admission arrangements for all of the schools taking part in the consultation
Council Leader Ian Bowyer said: “Our schools are an important part of this city and it’s absolutely essential that we consult on admissions arrangements every year. We know that the school admission process can be a worrying time for parents, which is why I hope as many people as possible will take the time to read the consultation document and let us have their views.”
The closing date for the consultation is Sunday 21 January 2018 and any comments should be submitted online using the form available at www.plymouth.gov.uk/admissionconsultation.
Comments can also be submitted in writing to: School Admissions Consultation, Education, Participation and Skills , Plymouth City Council, Windsor House, Tavistock Road, Plymouth PL6 5UF or by email to schoolconsultations@plymouth.gov.uk by that date.
