Two women from Tavistock have been arrested after an investigation by Devon and Cornwall Police into the alleged fraudulent sale of tickets for Tomorrowland 2013, an electronic musi festival in Belgium.

Police say that the women, aged 50 and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of fraud by misrepresentation and are currently on police bail until February 2014.

The festival, which took place from 26-28 July this year, has been held annually since 2005 in the town of Boom, between Antwerp and Brussels. It is a leading international event in the dance and electronica field of music.

Police say that enquiries are still ongoing at this time and due to the complexity of the case, the investigation is expected to take several months before they have come to a conclusion.

DC Glenn Harrop, the officer leading the investigation said: “We believe there are potentially hundreds of victims from across the country.

"I would like to ask those people to please be patient with us while we carry out some very lengthy enquiries. Any notable updates to this investigation will be posted via the Devon and Cornwall Police Twitter account and Facebook page.”

If anyone believes they have been a victim of this alleged fraud, unless already done so, they are asked to report the matter to Action Fraud as soon as possible -

http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/report_fraud  (telephone 0300 123 2040) quoting Devon and Cornwall Police crime reference number JN/13/1693.
