Changes to North Prospect lantern parade

Arrangements for tonight’s festive lantern parade in North Prospect have been changed in light of the wet and windy weather.

Everyone is being asked to meet at the Halcyon Centre in Dingle Road at 5.30pm for games and singing.

At around 6.30pm the parade will set off towards The Beacon in Foliot Road, where everyone will be able to warm up with some delicious soup before card making and more singing. 

The parade includes dozens of star lanterns made by residents in weekly workshops funded by Plymouth City Council and GAS, a local history project. They will light the way for three six-foot-high kings and an angel lantern made last year.
