Students in Plymouth are being urged to ditch the revision for one night only - or risk missing out on some amazing and exclusive shopping deals, make-up, live music and the chance to win tickets for the new Plymouth Summer music event, Ocean City Sounds, at Drake Circus.

The Drake Circus Student Night is back on Tuesday, March 6 – from 6.30pm until 8.30pm – offering huge savings on everything from the latest fashions to fine fragrances, jewellery to make-up…and the chance to win tickets.

And with stores like Jack Wills offering discounts of up to 25% it could be time for a whole new wardrobe. High Street favourites River Island, New Look, Joules, Animal, Claire’s Accessories, Foot Asylum, Sole Trader, Schuh, Billabong, Boux Avenue and Skinnydip London are also getting in on the act, offering 20% discounts which won’t eat into the grant – or break the bank of mum and dad.

Cash-strapped students will also be able to take advantage of some great meal deals with YO! Sushi offering 25 per cent off new sumo bowls, Bill’s and Krispy Kreme offering 20 per cent discounts, as well as other money saving deals from Fuel Juice, Mr Pretzel and Starbucks.

For students getting away for a well-earned break there’s a 15% discount on insurance and 10 per cent off adventure tours and hop on and off bus passes at STA Travel. And anyone getting behind in their studies can bone up on books from Waterstones for 10 % less than usual.

Drake Circus is also giving away two tickets to Plymouth’s hottest new music event, Ocean City Sounds, which takes place on Plymouth Hoe on 26th and 27th July. To win two tickets for Day One of the event, students need to complete a competition slip – available from participating stores on the evening. A winner will be announced on Wednesday 7th March.

There will be entertainment including live music by students from Plymouth University, the Plymouth University Boob Team will be providing glitter face-painting in support of CoppaFeel! and Café Bon Bon will be keeping things sweet with a vintage candy floss machine.

Drake Circus Centre Director Greg Lumley said: “We want students in Plymouth to have the freedom to enjoy life in Britain’s Ocean City and our retailers have been busy slashing prices as hard as they can to benefit the city’s budget-conscious Freshers and returning scholars.

“This is our way of offering them the chance to treat themselves to a few of life’s little luxuries without breaking the bank. From a new spring wardrobe to surfing gear, great food to pampering products, it’s all exclusively for them.”

Offers are subject to retailers’ discretion and on presentation of a valid student ID. For more details of all the stores taking part visit https://www.drakecircus.com/news-events/our-student-night-back
