Library offers help on healthy work/life balance
Plymouth Central Library is hosting an event on Friday 26 April where people can get help with finding work or advice on maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
The ‘Healthy Working Lives’ event, which will run from 11.30am to 2pm, will provide useful information about health and wellbeing for people in work, as well as training and employment opportunities for those who are looking for a job.
Careers South West and the Council’s Plymouth Adult and Community Learning Service will be on hand with advice about training workshops, adult education courses and finding work.
There will be information on local recreation and leisure activities, as well as healthy lifestyle advice and the Alzheimer’s Society will be offering guidance for those who have a friend or family member suffering from dementia.
Visitors can also browse the recreation, wellbeing and leisure resources in the library’s Health Zone and anyone who isn’t yet a library member can join for free on the day.
The Council’s library service holds health events every month – further details are available at www.plymouth.gov.uk/healthandwellbeing.
