Pick up your new Plymouth Good Food Map - free at Flavour Fest
Food Plymouth has produced a new Good Food Map, listing Plymouth’s restaurants and other eateries serving local food with clear details about where it came from.
The new map is free of charge and can be picked up from Food Plymouth’s stand (SA11 near sundial) at Flavour Fest from Friday to Sunday this weekend (16-18 August). Alternatively free copies will be available from information points around the city and from all of the outlets listed within it.
Traci Lewis, Food Plymouth Coordinator explains: “This new, free Plymouth Good Food Map is a great way for people to know which eateries in the City are supporting the aims of the Plymouth Food Charter by sourcing local food from local producers and suppliers, so do visit us at Flavour Fest to pick up your free copy.
"We will also be taking votes on the stand for the Plymouth Food Awards, so do pop along and vote for your favourite Plymouth foodies and help get them the recognition they deserve.”
The 2013 Plymouth Food Awards are now open for public voting until the end of August. Food Plymouth wants local people to vote for the best organisations and personalities bringing affordable, fresh, seasonal, local and organic food to Plymouth and the surrounding area.
Now in their third year the Awards have been created to celebrate some of the extraordinary efforts, skills and achievements of those bringing delicious healthy and sustainable food to people in Plymouth, supporting the aims of the Plymouth Food Charter.
Visit Food Plymouth’s website to look at the excellent nominations across all the categories of: Best Producer, Best Local Food Product, Best Restaurant or Café, Best School,Community Food Award and Most Sustainable Food Business, and to vote for your favourites.
