Continental Market returns to Plymouth city centre
Plymouth’s popular continental market is coming back to the City Centre between Thursday 4 April-Saturday 7 April 2013. Opening times will be Thursday to Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10am-4.30pm.
Visitors to the market will have the opportunity to shop for items from all over the world including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Greece and Finland and the UK. They will be able sample a wide variety of food, drink and handmade crafts over the four days.
The continental market’s French traders will be bringing a variety of delicious French cheeses, crepes and waffles; Italian traders will be offering Italian biscotti, cakes and soft nougat and waffles. Jences will be selling their traditional Spanish paella and the traditional German Schwenkegrille will have some tasty bratwurst sausage.
Some other favourites include the Greek grill house, showcasing traditional Greek delights such as gyros meat skewers, moussaka, dips and Greek cheeses. Meats of the World will be selling a range of exotic meats from around the world including Ostrich, Impala, Crocodile and Wild Boar.
New to the market is Kake-Doh who will be bringing their unique and tasty Chimney Cakes with a great variety of toppings. The Cheese Board will be offering a great variety and selection of cheeses from around the world, crackers, jams and chutneys.
Jimmy Beans will again be offering what is probably the biggest selection of flavoured coffee beans, which he will grind to your liking and his large selection of different and exotic loose leaf teas.
There will also be a wide range of arts and crafts on sale. Lapponia from Finland will be selling traditional Finnish wool, linen clothing and even reindeer hides. Liron-Pean will be bringing all the latest French fashions including some lovely silk scarves. The very popular
Flying Dutchman, with their Dutch Market Garden will be offering a huge array of plants, shrubs trees and bulbs.

Shoppers will once again be able to enjoy all the sights, smells and tastes of a bustling European market.”
