Prominent Devon artists exhibit in Cornwall
The president of Plymouth Watercolour Society is looking forward to exhibiting in St. Ives, Cornwall from the end of May.
Michael Hill, who lives in Plymouth, will be showing 10 of his latest paintings at Salthouse Gallery, Norway Square, St Ives from May 26 to June 2.
He will be exhibiting with Dartmoor landscape painter Shirley Kirkcaldy.
“I know Shirley from my framer,” explains Michael. “We share a room there where we teach.”
Shirley adds: “This will be our first collaboration and then we will also be exhibiting together in East Dulwich in June/July. I am delighted that Michael and I are exhibiting together in two great locations. Our style is very different but collectively it sits well together.” They will be exhibiting alongside Jill Eisley and Samme Charlesworth.
Michael now exhibits with The Marylebone Gallery, London, following a Creative Coverage introduction. The gallery has already sold one of his paintings.
