Exclusive Interactive Experience comes to VUE
The next generation of immersive film experience has arrived. Vue is taking cinematic adventures to another level with Late Shift, the world's first mobile-interactive film.
With one beginning – but hundreds of possible storylines and different decision points, Late Shift takes fans to a world beyond cinema, giving them the chance to control the direction of the film via their smartphones.
With seven different endings in total, the audience decides how the protagonist responds to various situations, affecting how the story plays out on the big screen.
Filmed on location in London, the movie’s lead character is a student called Matt, left proving his innocence after being forced to take part in a brutal heist at a famous auction house. The consequences of his actions take him on a vicious and sometimes violent journey across the capital, escaping the twisted web the audience has the power to weave. Will he save the day? Will he obey the law? You decide.
Stephen Cooper, VUE Plymouth General Manager, commented: “This interactive thriller will keep film and games fans on the edge of their seats. We are delighted to provide our viewers with the best seat in the house to decide the fate of the movie’s lead character.”
‘Late Shift’ is based on a screenplay by first time director Tobias Weber, and Michael R. Johnson. The film features up-and coming actors Joe Sowerbutts (lead role), Haruka Abe and Lily Travers, as well as the Swiss actor Joel Basman (‘The Monuments Men’) and Richard Durden (‘From Paris with Love’, ‘Oliver Twist’).
The action packed movie will be screened on Thursday 6th April 2017 at 20:30. The ‘Late Shift’ interactive movie app is free to download and includes the first chapter-style episode, enabling players to launch straight in to the action.
