Juncfest 2014
A music festival is being held in Plymouth in memory of Paul Smith who died during the Exeter Great West Run at the age 26.
Juncfest 2014 is taking place on Saturday 1 March at The Junction pub in Plymouth, and will raise funds for SADS UK, in memory of Paul who was the former bar manager.
Paul collapsed and died several miles in to the Exeter half marathon in May, 2011. An inquest later concluded that he died of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS).
The organisers hope to raise as much money and awareness for SADS UK whilst Paul is remembered.
All the acts playing are giving up their time for free.
Bands taking part include: The Jack, Rusty Angels, Meenstead, Arazona Law, Redhouse, State of Contradiction, Phoenix, Walking with Spiders, Manipulated, Kaputnix and Downfall. Andy Howard’s rock disco will also be playing.
Tickets cost £5 and the festival kicks off at noon.
