Jessica and the Rabbits - Music for Mesothelioma

Popular local band 'Jessica and the Rabbits' will be holding a 'Music for Mesothelioma' gig to raise funds for the South West Mesothelioma Support Group.

The group is based at Derriford Hospital's Macmillan Mustard Tree Centre in Plymouth and was established in 2011 to provide peer and professional support for those affected by mesothelioma and their families.

Mesothelioma is a terminal cancer which most commonly affects the lining of the lungs and is caused by the inhalation of disturbed asbestos fibres.

Dean Cruickshanks (Head of the Asbestos Team at Wolferstans who have sponsored the event) said;

'Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a fun evening of lively and energetic music whilst at the same time helping support research and awareness for asbestos related cancer.'
