Pacific Rim audience pop-up photobooth experience
To mark the highly anticipated UK release of Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim, local film fans will be invited to join the fight against the end of the world as RealD, the world’s most widely used 3D cinema technology, Warner Bros and Vue Entertainment host a bespoke photobooth experience at Plymouth Vue Cinema on Saturday 13 July.
Cinemagoers will have the chance to immerse themselves in the action of the film and use green-screen technology to transport themselves into a futuristic battlefield with their team of Jaeger pilots in a unique take-home photograph.
Audiences wishing to be recruited can visit Plymouth Vue where they can find one of 8 photobooths located at Vue Cinemas across the UK, between 4pm-9pm on Saturday 13 July:
Bob Mayson, Managing Director, RealD Europe said: “Pacific Rim is set to be one of the most action-packed blockbusters for audiences to enjoy this summer, and seeing it in RealD 3D will allow audiences to immerse themselves fully in the adventure and experience the brightest 3D. We wanted to bring the futuristic world even further to life and by creating this one-off photobooth experience, fans can enjoy it that little bit longer.”
Warner Brothers’ Pacific Rim follows the rise of monstrous creatures known as Kaiju in a war that will take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: robots called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge as they battle the relentless Kaiju.
Pacific Rim will be screened in RealD 3D in selected cinemas across the UK from Friday 12 July.
