Plympton Library will be celebrating World Book Day on Saturday 9 March with a special event showcasing the very best of library services.
The library will be inviting readers of all ages to sing along to nursery rhymes, enjoy live music performances, hunt for treasure, meet an author, watch a film and find out more about what Plymouth City Council’s library service has to offer.
Activities throughout the day include a treasure hunt for the under-10s, website demos, talks and displays from the library’s readers’ group, friendship group and craft group.
Keep the kids busy this Easter holiday with cracking free activities hosted by the Council’s library service.
Staff at libraries across the city will be making Easter bonnets and sharing stories with a ‘hatty’ theme, such as ‘Millie’s Marvellous Hat’, ‘I Want My Hat Back!’ and ‘The Cat in the Hat’. There will also be a film showing at Plymstock Library.
Most activities are suitable for children aged four to 11 and are all free of charge but booking may be required for some sessions – contact your local library for more information.
