Early preparation works for the Derriford Transport Scheme will get under way today (Firday 5 February).

Another 29 Plymouth roads are set to get a new lease of life over the next nine weeks as the Council continues its resurfacing programme for 2015.
The resurfacing works, which get under way on Monday 13 April, will take place on roads where multiple potholes have developed and are causing widespread damage.

Micro-asphalting is used as a preventative measure on roads showing the first signs of wear and tear, tackling damage in its early stages to reduce costs in the future. As well as extending the life of the road it increases skid resistance, which improves road safety.
