Rising is the successful debut production of Aakash Odedra Company in 2011.
Featuring four works tailor-made for Aakash as a soloist, this production explores different processes and aesthetics using Aakash’s traditional background in Kathak and Bharata Natyam to create a distinct flavour of contemporary dance.
The solos are choreographed by Russell Maliphant, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Akram Khan and Aakash himself.

Writer and independent art historian, Michael Bird, explores the changing ideas and ideals embodied by abstract painting in the second half of the 20th century, beginning with Bell’s arrival in 1955 in the abstract outpost of St Ives.
