A 56-year-old man who was reported missing in the early hours of Monday morning (13 May) has been found safe and well.
Police had been concerned for the welfare of Christopher Pearce from Plymouth, a rough sleeper who is known to frequent the city centre as well as other areas. Initial checks and searches had failed to discover his whereabouts.
The Plymouth Half Marathon is well known for its fantastic atmosphere where thousands of supporters line the scenic route which finishes in the historic area of The Hoe with a backdrop of Smeaton’s Tower.
The course takes runners along the promenade with views of the seafront, picturesque Barbican and through the green Saltram Park.
