With summer just around the corner, enjoy an afternoon of thrilling summer jumps racing at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Thursday 8th May.

Racing will start at 14:05, with gates opening at 12:05.

Tickets for the day can be purchased at www.newtonabbotracing.com until 5pm the day before the fixture. Tickets will be available at the gate upon arrival.

Don’t forget – children aged 16 and under and students with a valid photographic student ID / NUS card can enjoy free entry to all fixtures.

A great way to get over the long bank holiday, enjoy an evening of summer jumps racing with the family.

Large fall in number of Job Seekers Allowance claimants

The number of people claiming Jobseekers Allowance in Devon has decreased by 8%, or 568 claimants, between February and March 2014.

The total number of claimants now stands at just 1.4% of Devon’s working age population, down from 1.6% in February 2014. This is roughly half the national rate of 2.9%.
