Plymouth Argyle triumph in the first FA Disability Cup final

Plymouth Argyle have won the national FA Disability Cup.

A fantastic and emphatic 7-0 win over Boston United secured the inaugural trophy at the state of the art National Football Centre, St George's Park, near Burton-upon-Trent.

Graham Eyles, Argyle Disability Manager, told the Plymouth Argyle website: "I am immensely proud of the boys for what they have achieved, not just on behalf of themselves and the club, but for disability football in the south west as a whole.

"They have been truly remarkable throughout this cup run and each and every one of them have done the club proud."

Having beaten Exeter and Living4Life FC on route to the final, the Pilgrims dominated the game with captain, Stuart Richardson, scoring four of the seven goals in a memorable victory.

"I'd like to thank the Green Taverners for the their unwavering support and also Western Electrical and C&G Catering for their sponsorship and support", added Graham Eyles.

"The club have backed us to the hilt, too, and I'm pleased to have repaid that faith with a trophy."
