34 year old café rape suspect released on police bail
Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that the 34 year old man arrested yesterday after an alleged rape in the toilets of a Plymouth café, has been released on police bail until 4 June 2013 while police carry out further enquiries.
At around 8am yesterday, Thursday 28th February, a woman in her early twenties, reported being raped in the toilets of Goodbodies Café on Mutley Plain in Plymouth. The man was arrested at the scene, taken into custody and interviewed at Crownhill police station before later being released on bail.
A police spokesperson said "we will ensure the alleged victim gets the care and support needed."
