Last chance to nominate: Everyday Bravery deadline approaches
South West legal specialist The Family Law Company is calling on the public to submit their final nominations for the ‘Everyday Bravery’ campaign before the deadline on 31 January.
The initiative celebrates individuals who display courage in their daily lives—whether that’s overcoming a personal fear, managing a health challenge, caring for others, or simply persevering through difficult circumstances.
Anyone can put forward a friend, family member, colleague, or neighbour whose quiet strength deserves recognition. A panel of judges will review the nominations, with one inspiring individual set to receive a luxury two-night stay at the award-winning Bovey Castle Hotel & Spa. Two runners-up will receive beautifully curated gift boxes from Bespoke & Local.
To highlight what ‘Everyday Bravery’ looks like, The Family Law Company has created a series of short films, available online, featuring local people sharing their personal journeys. These stories include:
- Surviving domestic abuse
- Overcoming language barriers
- Changing career paths in difficult times
- Living with postnatal depression
- Building a successful career after a stroke at just 28
Business Development Director Kerry England says, “Bravery isn’t just about grand, heroic acts; it is something many people show in their everyday lives, often without recognition. The nominations we’ve received so far have been incredibly moving. Some have been heart-wrenching, others uplifting, but all are inspiring.
“We know there are still more stories out there, and we’d love to receive a few more nominations before the deadline.”
To nominate someone who has been brave in any capacity, large or small, in their lives, visit the company’s website and choose the Everyday Bravery tab, where there is also a link to the films on YouTube.
Nominations close on January 31 and the results will be announced in early February.
