Re:Fuel, the Southwest's only dedicated cars and coffee venue, has partnered with the Devon Austin Sevens car club once again to host a one-of-a-kind event focused on introducing young people to the wonderful world of vintage cars. Including the rare opportunity to actually get behind the wheel of a beautiful vintage car without a drivers licence.

This action-packed day will be the third Vintage Cars for Young Drivers Day hosted at Re:Fuel after two hugely popular previous events and will take place on Saturday, October 26th, starting at 9am. Re:Fuel will be transformed into a haven for all things vintage cars, offering a variety of interactive activities designed to give young drivers a hands-on experience they won't find anywhere else.

Re:Fuel is the Southwest's premier destination for car lovers. It's a welcoming space for petrolheads to meet, relax, and celebrate their love for cars in a family-friendly atmosphere. No matter what you drive, everyone is welcome at Re:Fuel. It’s also home to the Steamer Coffee House & Kitchen which won Devon Live’s vote for ‘The Best Breakfast in Devon’ earlier this year as well as the Apex Race Centre, Devon’s state-of-the-art racing simulation experience.

On Saturday the 26th of October young attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a real Austin engine under the guidance of experienced Austin Seven owners. Visitors will also have the chance to get behind the wheel of a vintage car! On a safe and controlled course, young adults will have the chance to experience the thrill of driving an Austin Seven, even if they don't have a driver's licence.

This event is open to everyone; whether you're a young adult looking to spark your passion for vintage cars, or a parent or grandparent who wants to introduce the younger generation to the history of motoring. This is the perfect opportunity to learn, explore, and have some fun.

Dan Regan, Co-Founder and Director of Re:Fuel said: “We are thrilled to be working with the Devon Sevens again to encourage interest in vintage cars amongst the younger generations of petrolheads. Our previous two events worked so well at sparking an interest in vintage cars for younger generations, sowing the seeds for there to be knowledgeable, passionate owners to keep these beautiful cars going in future generations that we had to hold the event once more.”

The Devon Sevens are a friendly club for enthusiasts of pre-war Austin 7s. They actively promote the use, maintenance, and restoration of these iconic vehicles and can be a great resource for anyone interested in learning more about Austin Sevens.

Felix Leach, Marketing and Events Manager at Re:Fuel added: “We’re very fortunate to have established ourselves as a well-known name within the Southwest automotive community and it’s only right that we use our resources to get more young petrolheads involved in the local car community. From previously setting up young automotive photographer initiatives to now being able to get young drivers behind the wheel of a vintage car, with the help of wonderful car clubs such as the Devon Austin Sevens we’re able to come together and create something very special for the younger generations to enjoy.”

Don't miss this unique opportunity to experience the world of vintage cars and keep their spirit alive in a modern world, on Saturday 26th April at Re:Fuel, Cullompton.
