Free chocolate lollies and a food festival extravaganza as Flapjackery celebrates its fifth birthday
Flapjackery is celebrating the fifth birthday of its Tavistock shop during the first-ever eat: Tavistock, a food and drink festival sponsored by the renowned gluten free flapjack brand, with free chocolate lollies for children.
The festival takes place on Sunday, (April 21st, 2024) from 10am to 4pm along Duke Street and Bedford Square. Flapjackery's shop on Duke Street will be open, and every child who comes into the shop and says "Happy Birthday" to the shop’s manager Elaine Ashworth will be given a free chocolate lolly. Flapjackery will also have a stand on Bedford Square, where visitors to the food festival will have the chance to sample its wide array of flavours.
Carol Myott, co-founder of Flapjackery, said, "What a day it's going to be for Tavistock. We're thrilled to be sponsoring this event, which will bring a lot more people to Tavistock, some for the very first time. The fact that it's our first-ever shop's sixth birthday makes it even more special, and we're delighted to be able to give away the chocolate lollies for children."
Flapjackery will also be rewarding every single shop owner who stays open for eat: Tavistock with a goody bag as a thank you for their support.
Carol said: “We’re really grateful to everyone who has come together to help put Tavistock centre stage and promote this wonderful town. We hope they enjoy their goody bags!”
Eat: tavistock is a free-to-attend food festival which will showcase the diverse talents of over 60 local food and drink producers, alongside traditional craftspeople and promises a feast for the senses. From local ales, ciders, and wines to artisanal bread, cakes, and pies, visitors can expect a vibrant and unforgettable experience.
