Laptops for Bovey Tracey Primary School
The children of Bovey Tracey Primary School have recently been gifted the funds to purchase three laptops to aid their capacity for learning by the Bovey Tracey Masonic Lodge.
Their Charity Steward Paul McCormick said, that during this difficult time when learning within the school environment has been on hold, it has been impossible for some children to access the web due to a lack of available computer hardware, he hopes that this gift helps some of the pupils now and for a long time in the future.
The members of the lodge have always taken a great interest in the community of Bovey Tracey, in the past they have donated to several other youth organisations within the town, The Youth Café, The Youth Cricket Club and the Swimming Pool association as well as the Army Cadets and the Devon Air Ambulance. Charity is in the heart of all Freemasons.
This follows the Freemasons Provincial Grand Lodge gift to a care home in Exeter of another 5 laptops to enable the residents to keep in touch with their relatives.
