Site managers scoop Seal of Excellence awards
Site managers working for local housebuilder Barratt Homes in Devon, have been awarded Seal of Excellence Awards – among the highest honours in the industry.
Matt Barnett has won for his work at Redwood Heights in Plymouth and Andy Tugwell was honoured for his work at Lucerne Fields in Ivybridge
Barratt construction director Tim Davies said he was thrilled with the success of Matt and Andy in winning these accolades.
“We have a long tradition of producing top quality and award winning site managers and to win this regional accolade for quality is tremendous recognition for the efforts of Matt, Andy and their teams.’’
He said the award demonstrates that Barratt Homes’ construction teams continue to lead the industry.
“Site managers play a pivotal role in delivering high quality new homes and this recognition demonstrates our dedication and commitment to building new homes of the very highest standard.’’
The Seal of Excellence awards are the most coveted in the industry. They are awarded after the construction standard setting body NHBC (National House-Building Council) carries out a series of spot check site inspections to select the best-organised and best-quality developments.
Thousands of site managers throughout the UK were judged on every aspect of their job, including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety.
These awards closely follow Barratt Developments being awarded five stars by the Home Builders Federation for customer satisfaction. To be ranked as five star means that more than 90 per cent of customers would recommend a home to a friend and Barratt is the only major national housebuilder to be rated five star for nine years in a row.
