Dogs Trust Ilfracombe is appealing to dog lovers in Devon to rehome an overlooked resident who bears a striking resemblance to a Harry Potter character.

With her unusual elf-like ears, slim physique and long nose, staff at the rehoming centre have noticed that Frida the Lurcher is a doppelganger of the Harry Potter character, Dobby the house elf.

Much like the magical character, two-year-old Frida is extremely loyal to her ‘masters’ and is longing to find one in the form of a loving new owner to offer her that furrytail ending she deserves.

Whilst she wouldn’t be out of place at ‘Dogwarts’, she is looking to cast a spell over a new owner and find a home to call her own and have a whole load of fun.

Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre Manager, Elise Watson, said: “Frida bears an mysterious likeness to Dobby from Harry Potter, with her large, elf-like ears and wide, almond-shaped eyes. She’s really popular amongst canine carers here at the rehoming centre but we’re all hoping she finds her magical ending very soon and somebody will come forward to offer her that happy ever after.

“Frida can be slightly nervous at first, but quickly becomes affectionate, playful and loyal once she knows you. She would love to be the only dog in the home but can live with older children.

“We’ve all got our paws crossed that our lovely Frida will soon be starting a new chapter of her life in her very own home.”

If Frida has left you spellbound and you are interested in rehoming this magical girl, please give Dogs Trust Ilfracombe rehoming centre a call on 0300 303 0292 or visit www.dogstrust.org.uk for more information.
