Making Family Law More Accessible

Leading South West family law specialist The Family Law Company has recently launched the first in a series of videos explaining aspects of family law in a straightforward way.

The short animation, produced by Exeter video specialist Bitpod, is entitled ‘How to get divorced in three simple steps’ and aims to help those who know little or nothing of the divorce process.

Marketing Manager, Kirsten Clarke said: “Obtaining a divorce is often quite simple, but it can seem overwhelming to start with, particularly when someone is going through an emotional time.

“The video gives a step by step explanation from the initial application for divorce to decree absolute.”

Subsequent videos will look at subjects including pre-nuptial agreements and changes to rules regarding pensions that will impact on divorcing couples. Each contains useful information on timescales, court procedures and other important issues.

“Although we always recommend talking to a lawyer from the outset and we offer a free initial appointment to explain what's involved, these videos will help to make family law processes less complex right from the start,” added Kirsten.
