Police appeal for distinctive stolen necklace

Police investigating the theft of some jewellery in Plymouth are appealing to the public to trace a distinctive necklace with sentimental value.

The circumstances around the theft are unclear but officers believe the necklace, along with other items of jewellery, may have been taken from a property in the North Prospect of the city between Friday 13 December 2013 and Saturday 1 March 2014.

The necklace is described as solid gold, with a heart pendant, and the face of a deceased family member etched onto it. A similar necklace in silver is pictured.

A solid gold chain with a crucifix and Jesus Christ, two gold bracelets – one with rubies and the other with diamonds embedded, and three pairs of gold hoop earrings have also been taken.

DC Gavin Bulley, from the local investigation team, said: “The necklace clearly has a huge sentimental value to the family and we are appealing for the public to get in touch if they know where it is.”
