UK reaches one billionth music download
A significant milestone for the UK music industry has been reached with the one billionth download single sale, according to the Official Charts Company.
Nine years after the launch of legal downloads in the UK, the figure was reached on Monday evening.
Adele's 'Someone Like You' has been confirmed as the most downloaded single of all time. The Official Charts Company has also revealed a list of the top 20 most downloaded tracks, which is as follows:
