Scorpions meeting off
PLYMOUTH have postponed their Premier League match against Scunthorpe, due to have taken place at the St Boniface Arena on Saturday evening, because of an adverse weather forecast.
Co-promoter Ashley Taylor announced the decision shortly after eight o’clock on Saturday morning. He said: "The latest forecast from the Met Office is for heavy rain from 6pm this evening."
A new date has to be arranged for the re-staging of the meeting and it is hoped to fit it in before the September 14 cut-off point to decide qualifiers for the end of season play-offs.
