Thelma Hulbert Gallery (THG) to celebrate Halloween with 'Witches and Workshops'
'Witches and Workshops' promises to be a fun-packed Halloween party at THG this Half Term.
This Halloween event will take place on Saturday 26 October, 11-3 at THG in Honiton. Look out for family-friendly art activities, apple pressing in the coven's courtyard, face painting, cookies and mulled apple juice, plus spooky music and a fancy dress competition.
Families can get creative at the gallery's workshops to create an apple monster and carve a pumpkin. They will also have the chance to take part in a fun, collaborative drawing activity as part of the national Big Draw Festival, which runs from 1-31 October.
Visitors can discover more about witches in the gallery’s current exhibition Anne Jackson: The Witchcraft Series exploring the history of witch trials and the power of the witch.
Gemma Girvan, THG Curator said:
Our Halloween Party will have a fantastic, family atmosphere and promises to be one of the highlights of our year. Don't forget to come in your scariest Halloween costume and bring any apples for pressing too!
Other Half Term events at the gallery include a drop-in workshop to create your own magic wand on 29 October. For more information, visit thelmahulbert.com.
