Serious collision closes A390 near Tavistock

At around 7am this morning, Friday 17 June, police were alerted to a car at the roadside on the A390 between Gunnislake and Tavistock with an unresponsive  man inside.

All emergency services attended the scene and paramedics are treating the casualty at the scene.

The road has been closed and diversions have been put in place.  Police advise that the road is expected to be closed for some time and motorists are advised to avoid the area if at all possible.

A police spokesman said: “We appreciate this happened at a busy time and will inconvenience many motorists but please be patient, allow emergency services to carry out their jobs and avoid the area.  If anyone has any information about this incident please contact police by emailing 101@dc.police.uk or calling 101.”
