Police seek witnesses to two women assault
Police in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly assaulted as he sat in a traffic queue in the city.
At a set of traffic lights just past The Tamar public house, the victim was sat in his red Peugeot 107 when he was approached by two women who had been sat in a silver Skoda.
Whilst still in the queue, a verbal altercation occurred and one of the two women is alleged to have assaulted the man, punching him in the head a number of times through the car window as he sat in the driver’s seat.
Before walking back to their car, one of the two women is also alleged to have caused £1,000 of damage to the car and wheel by scratching them with a metal object.
The incident took place at around 2.30-2.45pm on Monday 12 August on the A386 Tavistock Road.
The 44-year-old local victim received slight injuries in the incident.
Police would now like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting EL/13/3330.
